Khel Ratnas soon for Paralympians from next year

Vijay Goel, the union sports minister, said on Saturday that Paralympic medallists will be considered for Rajiv Khel Ratna from next year.

Hyderabad: Vijay Goel, the union sports minister, said on Saturday that Paralympic medallists will be considered for Rajiv Khel Ratna from next year.

Goel, who visited both academies run by chief national badminton coach Pullela Gopichand on Saturday, also touched upon the report submitted by SAI on India’s dismal Rio show. “We are making an in-depth study of the report and making a serious introspection on it.”
