Berlin: Michael Schumacher is unable to walk and stand unaided almost three years after the life-changing skiing accident, according to his family lawyer.

The details regarding the health of the seven-time Formula One World Champion were disclosed during the court proceedings in Germany, according to BBC.

The lawyer, Felix Damm, provided the information during the court proceedings against German magazine, Bunte.

Quoting a source, the magazine had earlier claimed that Schumacher was able to walk with help of therapists and could raise an arm.

Schumacher’s agent, Sabine Kehm, back then refuted the claims of the magazine. Kehm said the report claiming Schumacher could move is not true.

Schumacher suffered a severe head injury while skiing in the French Alps, where he was holidaying with friends and family.
