TSA Open Championship: Durga Prasad rules the waves

Hyderabad sailor lifts the trophy in the TSA state championship.

Young sailor from Telangana, Durga Prasad flashes a victory sign after finishing on top to lift the TSA State Championship trophy in the Telangana State Sub-Junior Sailing Championships in Hussainsagar lake.

Neelanand with his brilliant skills and determination finished on top to take the TSA Open Championship, while the Telangana lad Durga Prasad’s composed efforts helped him lift the TSA State Championship trophy in the Telangana State Sub-junior Sailing Championships which was Organised by the Telangana Sailing Association and was hosted by The Yacht Club of Hyderabad in Hussainsagar lake.

The Tamil Nadu sailors continued to maintain their fine run and dominate throughout by taking the top three positions. Navyn Prabhakar’s efforts fell a bit short to take the top place on the podium as the sailor from Tamil Nadu clinched the silver medal while K.S. Anirudh had to settle for the bronze in the TSA Open category. Earlier, on Monday, Kongara Preeti of Hyderabad, who led Race 9 from the start fell just short of the finish line and came second to Chunnu Kumar of Karnataka while Preeti was heading for the gold medal (girls category) in the State Championship and is one of the youngest in the fleet.
