The winners of the Deccan Champion title included Raju in bantamweight, Romajit Singh in featherweight, Johnson in the lightweight category, Md Suhaib in the superwelterweight category and Vishwajeet in the heavyweight categories.

Hyderabad: Kundeti Raju emerged winner as he defeated former youth national champion to take the title at the first season of the Club Fights Deccan Conquest Professional Boxing which was held over eight Saturdays and concluded here on Wednesday.

The championship was organised under the ageis of Sports Authority of Telangana State, in six weight categories with eight fighters in each category throwing up some potential talent who can represent Telangana and India at the International Professional Boxing Circuit. As many as 48 fighters from different states including Haryana, Assam, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Telangana, Goa and Kerala took part in the championship.
