Hyderabad: The home team could not continue their winning run after making a good start on Friday as Telugu Titans lost to the defending champions Patna Pirates 29-35 here at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium on Saturday.

Meanwhile, in a thrilling encounter in the first match of the day, Dabang Delhi narrowly beat Jaipur Pink Panthers 30-26. Dabang skipper Meraj Sheykh led from the front as his team began the campaign with a victory. A disappointing second half performance by Pink Panthers led to their downfall. Sheykh scored seven points whereas Nilesh Shinde scored a high-five.

Dabang Delhi KC opened their account in the 2nd minute with a tackle point and followed it up with a bonus to lead 2-0. Pink Panthers had to wait till the 4th minute to score their first point as Manjeet Chhillar made a tackle. Selvamani scored a point to level the score at 3-3 in the 6th minute.
