Hyderabad: The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) overpowered the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL finals to clinch their third title in the history of the tournament.

After winning the trophy, KKR waited no further and replied to a post made by the official handle of the Rajasthan Royals (RR) way back in December, 2023.
In the IPL auction, Mitchell Starc was sold for a whopping Rs 24.75 crore to the KKR, becoming the most expensive player in IPL history. Mocking the Australian pacer, RR on 'X' (earlier Twitter) made a post which says "Aayega Na! Darega toh nahi?" a famous dialogue from the movie 'Kaabil' starring Hrithik Roshan.
The RR post, was a jibe at Starc's frequent absences from IPL matches over the years.
After months of silence, KKR finally replied to the post after the final. Replying to the post the KKR posted a picture of Starc with the "player of the match" trophy, which he earned for his outstanding performance in the finals.
In the finals, the left-arm-pacer had picked 2 crucial wickets and conceded only 14 runs in three overs, playing an important role in KKR's 8 wicket victory.
