Rohit Sharma becomes leading run-scorer in T2OIs, overtakes Babar Azam

Hyderabad: After the fiery innings against Australia in the Super eight game of the T20 World Cup at the Darren Sammy Cricket Ground in St Lucia on Monday, Rohit Sharma dethroned Babar Azam to become the leading run-scorer in T20 Internationals.
With a strike rate of over 220, Rohit Sharma hit 92 runs of just 41 balls that included 8 sixes and 7 fours. With the dominating innings Rohit had gone past the 4,145 internationals runs scored by Babar Azam. Rohit now has 4,164 runs in international T20s.
At number three is another Indian star batter, Virat Kohli with 4,103 runs.
Interestingly, Rohit had made many world records with just one innings. He had become the first player on the planet to hit 200 sixes in T20 internationals. He also broke Gayle's record (130 vs Eng) and became the player with most number of sixes against a single opponent (132 vs Aus).
The 19 ball fifty by Rohit Sharma is the fastest half-century by an Indian Captain and also his final score of 92 is the highest score by an Indian captain.
Additionally, Rohit also broke the record of Yuvraj Singh to become the player (Indian) to score most sixes (8) in an innings in a T20 World Cup Match.
