Cricket fans across the world are waiting for the high octane clash between India-Pakistan at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on Sunday, June 9.
In their opening matches, India outshined Ireland where they won the match by 8 wickets. Whereas, USA stunned Pakistan creating one of the biggest upsets of the T20 World Cup.
The last time India faced Pakistan was in the 2022 T20 World Cup, where India emerged victorious after a stellar performance by the star batter, Virat Kohli. The match went till the last ball, where India had to chase the target of 160 set by Pakistan. Kohli stood with 82 not out helping the team to win.
India has earlier faced Pakistan seven times in T20 World Cup out of which India won 6 matches and conceded only one defeat.
India had faced Pakistan first in the 2007 T20 World Cup. In the Group stage, the Men in Blue emerged victorious in a bowl out after the match ended in a draw. In the finals, India defeated Pakistan by 5 runs to clinch the maiden title.
India will be facing Pakistan in the T20 World Cup for the eighth time.
