With just days left for the inaugural match let's look at some key players in the top teams.
England:
England , the defending champions, have announced a team that has the potential to clinch the trophy again. With Jos Butler leading the side and Jofra Archer heading the pace attack the team looks strong on paper.
The players we pick from the English side are Mark Wood, Bairstow and Phil Salt. Phil Salt looked in terrific form in the IPL, while Bairstow, once unleashed, can take away the game from the opposition. Mark Wood with his pace can be key on the generally slow West Indian pitches.
India:
Rohit-led men in blue are confident and look to end their ICC trophy drought. The team had already started their training in New York and the key players to watch out for will be Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Jadeja and Bumrah.
Rohit and Suryakumar's performance will be key for the team, as one at the opening sets the stage for the team the other in the middle order carries the momentum. Bumrah being the lead fast bowler will be crucial in the finals overs, while Jadeja and other company will be impactful on the slow pitches of West Indies.
Pakistan:
The men in green are arguably the best bowling side in the tournament, with Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseen Shah and Haris Rauf. The batting order also is strong with the dependable duo Babar Azam-Mohammad Rizan. Fireworks from Fakhar Zaman will also be key to the Pakistan side.
Australia:
The kangaroos have picked a balanced side to the T20 World Cup with Mitchell Marsh as its captain. With all rounders like Stoinis, Green, Tim David and Maxwell the team will have an advantage. Adam Zampa, Head and Starc will be the players to look out for in the Australian Squad.
