Serena Williams in the family way

Tennis superstar Serena Williams, who is engaged to Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, recently confirmed that she is pregnant with her first child. She took to Snapchat to make the announcement. She posted a photo of herself, with the caption “20 weeks”, before deleting it.

Interestingly, the 35-year-old athlete won the 23rd Grand Slam singles title at the Australian Open on January 28, while she was already pregnant. Serena will be ranked World No. 1 next week, and if she wants to retain her ranking, she will have to be ready to play her first tournament within 12 months of giving birth.
