Snehit wins bronze at national TT

Snehit, from the city-based Global Table Tennis Academy (GTTA) is getting trained under former national champion S. Raman in Chennai.

Hyderabad: Hyderabad table tennis player S. Fidel R. Snehit won the bronze medal in the youth boys category at the ongoing national ranking tournament being held in Sonepat, Haryana, on Friday. He lost the semifinal 1-4 (5-11, 6-11, 11-7, 8-11, 8-11) to Gujarat’s Manush Shah.

Snehit, from the city-based Global Table Tennis Academy (GTTA) is getting trained under former national champion S. Raman in Chennai.

Interestingly, all the four players (Manav Thakkar, Manush Shah, Jeet Chandra and Snehit) who had represented India in the World Junior Championships finished top four in youth category in the first national ranking tournament.

Semifinals: SFR Snehit lost to Manush Shah 1-4 (5-11, 6-11, 11-7, 8-11, 8-11). Quarterfinals: SFR Snehit bt Parth Virmani (Delhi) 4-1 (11-5, 11-5, 9-11, 11-7, 11-5). Pre-quarterfinals: SFR Snehit bt Om Chatri Adarsh (Delhi)  4-0 (11-6, 11-6, 11-8, 11-8).
