Maverick filmmaker Vijayendra Prasad, who is Rajamouli’s father and arguably the best screenwriter in the country, is working on something unique. He has confirmed to us that he is coming up with an interesting script that focuses on the natural beauty of the Fiji Islands.

Prasad reveals that the Fijian government had approached him for an interesting narrative told in such a way as to help promote tourism in the island republic. “I am penning a love story that is set in Fiji, and the script work is almost done. We are planning to produce it in cooperation with the Fijian government,” he says.

“Fiji is a beautiful country, it’s like heaven on earth. The country also protects its natural assets, including wildlife,” he says. The movie will be made in English and Hindi. However, Prasad says he won’t be directing it. “I am only providing the story. Someone else from India will wield the baton, but the name is yet to be confirmed,” he shares.

Prasad also tells us that he has completed the story of the much-anticipated action adventure starring Mahesh Babu, to be directed by Rajamouli, though he declined to share details. He’s now working on the script of a film with Ajay Devgn in the lead. “I have a few more lined up, so I’m constantly writing,” he says.
