Talking about some of the most memorable clicks he says, "When I started traveling, rather than landscape, I focused more on people. I feel that through them, you can understand the real essence of the place. They show the emotions of the land as well as the culture. I prefer to tell a story through my pictures." When asked what makes for a perfect shot, he says, "Though the lighting is crucial, the subject is more important. I find it easier to click the perfect shot when the person in front is comfortable. This can happen only when you can strike up conversations with them." Devesh is of the opinion that the best shot happens only when they are spontaneous. Talking about what’s next for him, “I recently bought a bike. I plan to travel from New Delhi to Kerala, clicking pictures along the way. This will take at least a month and a half.”
