Apple will be unveiling the iPhone 16 series, Watches and AirPods next month and with the launch of upcoming devices, the company may discontinue the older devices.

These devices are likely to be discontinued by Apple next month.

iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max

Usually, Apple discontinues their flagship iPhones just a year after they are released. So, they may discontinue the flagship models, iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max this year after 16 is launched.

iPhone 14 Plus

14 Plus was launched following the failure of the mini series, iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 13 mini. This device will be in the past but the iPhone 14 will be around.

iPhone 13

The iPhone 13 is the oldest Apple smartphone available on its website. iPhone 13 may be discontinued as It’s 3 years old and the iPhone 14 will come in that price range.

Apple Watch Series 9, Ultra 2 and SE 2


Apple will be launching Watch Series 10 with a bigger display and thin casing. SE 3 may sport plastic casing to make it affordable. When the upcoming smartwatch series will be launched, Apple may discontinue Apple Watch 9, Ultra 2 and SE 2.

AirPods 2 and AirPods 3

Apple AirPods 4 will be launched next month in two variants, an entry variant and mid range one. The AirPods 2 was launched in 2019 and AirPods 3 in 2021 will be discontinued when the AirPods 4 is launched. The major difference between the two variants of AirPods 4 is Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which is set to feature in the mid variant.

iPad Mini 6 and iPad 10

We may see newer versions of Apple's budget iPads and with their introduction. iPad Mini 6 and iPad 10 are likely to be discontinued. The chances are low that Apple may keep the iPad 10 around after the launch of iPad 11.
