Elon Musk's xAI May Soon Launch App for Grok AI Chatbot, to Compete With ChatGPT

According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, xAI is planning to launch its app by December to compete with OpenAI’s ChatGPT.

Elon Musk created xAI as an alternative to OpenAI but distanced himself over ideological differences. He sued OpenAI and its CEO Sam Altman twice.

Musk founded xAI last year and it provides AI customer support for Starlink and Grok. Currently, the chatbot is only available to premium users of X.

Elon Musk’s xAI reached a valuation of $50 billion this month and it is set to surpass $100 million annually, The Journal reported. xAI is now worth more than X, acquired by Musk for $44 billion. xAI's valuation is still smaller than OpenAI, which was valued at $157 billion in October.
