Apple is expected to unveil the next generation iPad Pro at WWDC, and there are reports pouring in about some new features coming to the device, making it more productive and in position to go against the likes of rival Microsoft’s Surface Pro.

There are speculations that the Cupertino based company could bring a trackpad on the keyboard of the latest iPad Pro, but with a different functionality. While the Surface Pro uses the trackpad to move the mouse cursor, the new iPad Pro could use this feature to move the cursor while typing, similar to what users can do with the 3D Touch on iOS.

This new feature can make the iPad Pro a more powerful rival to the Surface Pro. With a trackpad, customers can perform a series of tasks faster without the need for touching the screen. While on the iPad the trackpad would have a different purpose, it would definitely make moving the typing cursor faster.

Currently there is no indication that Apple will be adding this feature to the upcoming iPad Pro, but at first glance, such a feature will make sense. Apple fanatics will have to wait till next week, when Apple could unveil its new iPad line-up and new iOS at WWDC.
