A (Bio)shocking reveal
This collection will include Bioshock, Bioshock 2, Bioshock Infinite and all of their DLC for a standard price of a full game.
After months of speculation, 2K Games has announced a remaster of all the Bioshock games for consoles and PC. Although it’s arriving a bit late into the generation, new consoles owners of PS4 and Xbox One generation can finally play some of the best games of the Xbox 360/PS3 era.
This collection will include Bioshock, Bioshock 2, Bioshock Infinite and all of their DLC for a standard price of a full game. Challenge modes for all three games will be included, as well as a video series called Director’s Commentary: Imagining BioShock. All three games claim to be running at 1080p and 60fps on all platforms, great news for console players. Best news of all is for PC users who can upgrade to the remastered edition for free. Bioshock Collection is launching for PS4, Xbox One and PC on September 16, 2016.
But with this confirmation, a previously announced remaster of two more great games from last generation — Batman: Return to Arkham — has been delayed indefinitely. When the remastered collection was first revealed, it appeared that the games looked worse than the originals in certain areas. They were also running on Unreal Engine 4 instead of 3, so that might have caused this delay. They also might want to take the time to include Arkham Origins, a prequel developed by WB Montreal as a part of this collection.
Although it’s a bit late into the generation for them to release these remasters, all games that are a part of the Bioshock and Batman collections are not to be missed.
