HTC has been planning on a smartwatch for years, but this time it looks like HTC has finally got the puzzle right. Photos posted on the Chinese website Weibo have confirmed leaks involving the new unannounced HTC smartwatch codenamed “Halfbeak”.

One of the initial impressions from the smartwatch is the Under Armour branding on the underside of the watch. So one can understand that this smartwatch will be about fitness — a heart rate sensor, rubber strap, and other exercise-friendly design.

The idea about what HTC has planned on the software is still uncertain. However, there were previous reports that it would sport a round face as shown in the image. The bottom of the watch sports a heart rate monitor and four pins for the connection of a charger.

Display is of 360x360 resolution with minor bezels across the face. There are three physical buttons on the side — all pointing towards a fitness-centric design similar to the Moto 360 Sport and the Asus Zenwatch 3. There is Android Wear running on the watch, but it is still unclear whether HTC plans to actually release this version or not in the future.
