Dell announces 32-inch 8K monitor for $5,000

The new monitor is aimed at professional designers, engineers, photographers and software developers.

Dell hasn't published the full specifications of its latest monitor but we expect the company to release new information soon.

Dell has announced a new 32-inch, 8K monitor aimed specifically at professional designers, engineers, photographers and software developers. The new model, codenamed UP3218K or UltraSharp 32 HD 8K monitor, will be available from March onward at a price of $5,000.

Dell’s latest monitor will sport a 32-inch IPS display with 7680x4320 pixels resolution. Other key specs of the monitor are: contrast ratio (1300:1), brightness (400 nits), pixel density (280ppi) and supported color spaces (100 per cent Adobe RGB and 100 per cent sRGB). The monitor makes use of two DisplayPort 1.3 inputs in order to deliver the necessary bandwidth.
