Finally, a Pokemon Go watch that vibrates when spotting a monster

The Pokemon Go Plus smart wearable connects to a smartphone via Bluetooth.

Pokemon Go game creator Nintendo and the Pokemon Company is all set to release Pokemon Go Plus, a wearable that will help players to “catch” Pokemon with a click of a button.

The Pokemon Go Plus is a smartband that looks like a smartwatch and connects to a smartphone via Bluetooth. The smart wearable will vibrate and light up when a player walk past a Pokemon location.

Niantic said, “Now you’ll be able to play and enjoy your walk, run, hike, park trips or visits to library without having to look at your screen at all time.”

Originally announced to in July, the gadget will go on sale starting September 16, and will be available at a price of $46 (approximately Rs 3,000).

Moreover, earlier this week, Apple also announced to roll Pokemon Go app, optimized to run of Apple’s smart watch. The game would be launched by the developers later this year in December.

The game itself was created by Niantic, spun off from Google last year, and Pokemon Company. Nintendo owns a third of Pokemon Company and both have undisclosed stakes in Niantic.  The game has been downloaded more than 500 million times since it was launched, according to John Hanke, founder and CEO of Niantic.
