The charging pad supplies up to 15 W of power and relies on the Wireless Power Consortium or Qi. Any smartphone that supports wireless charging is compatible with LG’s wireless charging pad.

“The charging pad can charge a completely depleted battery to the level of 50 per cent within 30 minutes,” LG posted on their website.

Moreover, the charging pad consists of embedded sensor that measures the temperature of a device up to a certain point. Accordingly, the pad suspends the supplement of the power when the device reaches a certain level.

The product will be sold in North America, Europe and Australia in the next couple of weeks. The pricing information has not yet been revealed.
