AirPods 2 and AirPower release details revealed
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has revealed when the highly anticipated products will be released.
In a detailed research note, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has shed light on all upcoming Apple products including the 2019 iPhones, iPads, MacBooks and Apple Watch Series 5. He also shared some information on the hotly anticipated Apple AirPods 2 as well the AirPower, the Cupertino-based brand’s wireless charging mat.
As per a report by MacRumors, the Apple AirPods 2 with support for wireless charging and the AirPower will start shipping in the first half of 2019.
As of now, there is no concrete information as to when it will be released but there are a lot of rumours suggesting that it could be unveiled at the iPad event that’s supposed to take place this March.
Apart from the two aforementioned products, Kuo also believes that a new iPod with a speedier processor will go on sale this year as well.
The report states, “While there's been a flurry of recent rumours about the AirPower and 2nd generation AirPods, there have also been conflicting reports on the possible launch dates for the two products. One recent report specifically placed the launch of the new AirPods in the fall of 2019. We were sceptical about that report at the time, and now Kuo gives another reason to believe that the new AirPods and AirPower will be shipping in the first half of this year.”
In an earlier report, Apple has been delaying the AirPods 2 because they plan on adding some important tech in them. The next-generation AirPods could launch as early as the first half of this year and it will come with support for some health monitoring features, with no specifics divulged. The report adds that several suppliers, notably Zhen Ding Tech, Flexium Interconnect, Compeq Manufacturing, and Unitech Printed Circuit Board are all taking part in the production of the brand new AirPods.
As of yet, no concrete details have been provided or no new information has been given regarding what health features in the new AirPods will entail. But it’s in no way surprising that Apple’s focus is on health.
