Samsung has announced Galaxy C5 and C7 to be available in China.

When it comes to smartwatches, the Gear S2 is probably one of the most famed wearable gadgets out in the market. Although it took Samsung a reasonable amount of time to launch the S2, the end-product was definitely worth the wait.

Around eight months after the launch of the S2, a new report by Sammobile indicated that the consumer giant is working on its third smartwatch Gear S3, which is codenamed Solis. The report also pointed out that the new watch will utilise a Tizen OS in place of Android Wear.

Solis, which means Sun in Spanish, is an indication that the watch will sport a circular display. While rectangular smartwatches give a more digitised outlook, consumers still prefer the traditional circular design, combined with nifty functionalities including a rotating bezel for navigation.

According to the report, some of the models numbers for the S3 (Solis) will be SM-R760, SM-R765, SM-R770, SM-R765V, and SM-R765S; the last two models should be carrier-driven variants.

Additionally, the other confirmation indicated that the smartwatch will use Samsung’s own Tizen OS. While the specs sheet is not yet available, be assured that the device will be much better than its predecessor; a larger screen would be a bonus, as the Gear S2’s 1.2-inch screen is a bit problematic at times.
