Sanzar Futureteq, a young start-up, has launched a hybrid smartwatch called Gekko GX1. It is the hybrid of an analogue watch and a digital smartwatch. The watch features an analogue screen display, provides fitness statistics via a companion app and has notifying capabilities of a smartwatch.
The screen features a sapphire glass dial, which is said to be scratch resistant and has high strength. The GX1 watch tracks the duration and quality of sleep via the smartphone app to help improve sleep habits. Additionally, it also monitors the number of steps is taken and daily calories burnt. The data such as altitude, UV index, temperature and barometric pressure can be scrutinised in the app.
The watch shows notifications for incoming calls, messages and other apps. It also acts as a remote control for shooting selfies via the user’s smartphone camera. The hybrid Gekko GX1 smartwatch retails at a price of Rs 4,995.
