Make your own music
Acoosta Uno is a Bluetooth music system with 14,000 songs built-in
Saregama started the trend last year with the retro Caravan music player pre-loaded with a large repertory of songs from Binaca Geet Mala built-in. But what if your taste is a little broader than that classic radio programme; what if it extends to other genres of music from contemporary Indipop to bhajans and ghazals; and beyond Indian to international pop and country/western, from rock to reggae?
Almost in answer, Mumbai-based Acoosta Innovations have just launched the Acoosta Uno Hi-Fi music system — a Bluetooth-enabled 2000W PMPO speaker cum FM radio player with one difference: Its chunky 2.5kg tabletop body holds some 14,000 songs across multiple Indian and international genres and 1000 plus artists. The repertoire ranges from Sunidhi Chauhaan and Sonu Nigam to Jagjit Singh and Justin Timberlake... all the tracks are sourced from Sony Digital Audio Disk Corporation which means they are -- especially the western tracks -- from the Sony Music label.
And there is a useful search feature, allowing you to find a particular piece of music. You can also sync your own musical sources wirelessly or connect them via the AUX port.
Right now, the launch price is a discounted Rs 11,999 and they are throwing in a free karaoke microphone with some offers. However, you will need to find and stream the karaoke tracks from your own device, like a phone. If it unveils the musical genius in you -- there is a recording option via USB stick.
