Epson launches 100 pages per minute printer
WorkForce Enterprise to lower total cost of ownership and reduce downtime.
Epson has announced their first multi-function inkjet printer – the WorkForce Enterprise printer, WF-C20590, prints at speeds of up to 100 pages per minute (ppm).
This new printer’s ink cartridges yield up to 100,000 pages (2x50,000) in black and 50,000 pages in colour each, for greater cost savings. According to Epson, this printer can print at a resolution of 600x1200dpi as default and can be maxed out to 600×2400dpi. And, the scan resolution at 600x1200dpi. This printer comes with a user interface of USB 3.0, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct and NFC. The Epson WorkForce Enterprise WF-C20590 is priced at Rs 1,271,799.
Epson’s PrecisionCore linehead technology, measuring at 43mm wide and containing approximately 33,500 nozzles, consists of a fixed print head that prints at speeds of 100 images per minute (ipm) for both simplex and duplex printing.
The printing mechanism consists of an electrostatic transport belt in the print pass that ensures the paper is completely flat for stable paper feeding. This mechanism helps the printer to print on a wide range of paper types of up to 350gsm, including paper of irregular sizes.
According to Epson, the WorkForce Enterprise lowers total cost of ownership due to having fewer moving parts than colour lasers, resulting in fewer components required for standard maintenance and reduced downtime as well as the cost of service.
