Basslet is a cool concept for music enthusiasts and will completely change the way you experience music on the go.

Music is what every human enjoys. However, music is enjoyed better when felt. Bass, especially, is meant to be felt and not only heard. The energy or impact that you get at a concert or a club is completely different as compared to what you listen to at home or with your earphones. Bass is the main component of any music that helps you feel it.

In order to make you ‘feel’ the bass in the music anywhere you are and any device you play it from, a company has started a Kickstarter project that just does that. The product is a subwoofer that you can wear.

The Basslet is a wearable subwoofer for your body. Using a whole new technology for sound, it delivers the beats and basslines of your music directly to you – so you can literally feel the music. The result is a powerful sound experience that headphones alone cannot provide. Basslet, a wearable wristband, which looks like a watch, is actually a subwoofer that you strap to your wrist. It pairs with your smartphone and it will send bass vibrations directly to your body. You won’t be able to hear anything as it is not a speaker—just a massive vibrating device inside the small compact body. The bass signals are sent to the device via Bluetooth and the device vibrates according to the frequency and amplitude to give you a feel of the bass being played. The device is aimed towards music lovers and also caters to those who love good quality audio in movies.

The Basslet incorporates a huge vibrating mechanism and is powered by a small circuit fuelled by a rechargeable battery. The Basslet is expected to retail for a price of Rs 10,500 and shipping is expected to start from December 2016.

The Basslet pairs with a small device that sits (connects) between the headphone jack and the music player. The device uses Bluetooth LE to pair with the Basslet and you don't need any software to be installed. It can be used with any music player that uses a line out or headphone jack. The Basslet is powered by a built-in battery that lasts up to 6 hours if you crank it all the way up for higher intensity. If you are using it at moderate levels, then you can expect more run time. At present, you can only use it or pair it with one single device, which means, this is only for personal experience. Probably, the future devices would be able to be paired with multiple Basslets so that you and your friends can 'feel' the music together.
