Apple is currently finalising its Siri-driven smart speaker
New leak reveals Apple's Siri-driven smart speaker could be marketed as Siri/AirPlay device' and boast Beats technology.
It appears like Apple is planning on taking Amazon’s Echo and Google Home with its new Siri-driven smart speaker. A recent leak indicates that the company is “currently finalising” its own smart speaker. The latest news also noted that the device-in-the-making could be marketed as a ‘Siri/AirPlay device’ and could ‘carry some form of Beats technology and is expected to run on variant iOS.’
Well-known leakster Sonny Dickson took to Twitter to publish the news.
“Apple is currently finalising designs for their Alexa competitor, expected to be marketed as a Siri/AirPlay device,” his tweet read.
Furthermore, he also told Mashable that it would have a ‘concave top’ with the ‘Mac Pro style’ controls.
Separately, another report by Apple Insider suggests that the device could even allow users to ‘push music, radio and podcasts to the Apple hardware over Wi-Fi, which typically offers better quality than Bluetooth.’
However, Apple hasn’t made any official comments yet. The company is expected to unveil new technologies at its Worldwide Developers Conference in June this year.
