Apple unveiled iPhones next major software update iOS 18 on June 10 and it comes with AI features.

There were many features announced at WWDC including home screen customisation, redesigned Photos app as well as control center, revamped Siri, redesigned tapback and also genmoji feature in Messages app and many others.
The Tech giant said the Apple Intelligence will be compatible with two iPhones, the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max but it won't be compatible with iPhone 15 and 15 Plus.
Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo in his blogspot said that the main reason why the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus can’t run Apple AI is because of the RAM.
"The iPhone 15 with the A16 chip cannot support Apple Intelligence, but M1-equipped models can. Therefore, it can be concluded that the key to supporting the current Apple Intelligence on-device model is the DRAM spec, rather than computing power (TOPS)," Kuo said in his blogspot.
The standard iPhone 15 series has 6GB DRAM, while the iPhone 15 Pro has 8GB, which is the only difference between the two devices which is the only reason that Pro models will get AI features.
"The AI computing power of the M1 is about 11 TOPS, lower than the 17 TOPS of the A16. The A16 has 6GB of DRAM, lower than the 8GB of the M1. Therefore, current Apple Intelligence on-device AI LLM require about 2GB or less of DRAM," Kuo further said.
