According to data furnished earlier, there were two million SMB pages on Facebook's platform as of October 2015.
Facebook has been making a lot of changes to its pages feature to help businesses make the most of their platform.
To make it even better, it has recently announced two new page features—services and shop—for businesses including India where 57 per cent of people on the platform are connected to a business.
Out of the two sections, the ‘Shop’ section empowers businesses with a nifty method to prominently display products they sell on their page. It also assists customers to easily discover, browse, and purchase products through messenger services.
Moving on to the services segment, the main aim of this page feature is to facilitate businesses to showcase their service offerings. According to reports, more than 1.99 billion interactions are being generated between Indian SMBs and people.

Adrian Nam, a product marketing manager at Facebook, said that the bifurcation of the pages feature into two segments not only helps customers differentiate between service offerings and shops but the experience would become significantly immersive.
While Facebook keeps on facilitating businesses with handy features, the new change is definitely a step forward in empowering businesses on its platform.
