Google has planned to launch the Android Wear 2.0 and intends to increase the adoption rate so as to get them to as many customers as possible. The search engine giant has teamed up with many companies so as to release many smartwatches in the next couple of months.

The Android Wear will be built by LG: Watch Sport and Watch Style.

According to previous rumors, Google was supposed to launch Android Wear 2.0, as well as the two smartwatches, on February 9. However, it appears that something happened and the search giant moved the release a day before.

Evan Blass has claimed Android Wear 2.0 and both the smartwatches will now be launched on February 8, one day earlier than previously expected. The smartwatches to get this update are: Moto 360 Gen 2, Moto 360 Sport, LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE, LG Watch Urbane, LG G Watch R, Polar M600, Casio Smart Outdoor Watch, Nixon Mission, Tag Heuer Connected, Fossil Q Wander, Fossil Q Marshal, Fossil Q Founder, Michael Kors Access Bradshaw Smartwatch, Michael Kors Access Dylan Smartwatch, Huawei Watch, Huawei Watch Ladies, Asus ZenWatch 2, and Asus ZenWatch 3.

Apart from Android Wear 2.0, Google and LG will also introduce their first smartwatches powered by the new platform: Watch Sport and Watch Style. They are rumoured to go on sale the next day for $350 and $250, respectively.

The smartwatches have been confirmed to feature deep Google Assistant integration, along with IP68 and IP67 certifications for dust and water resistance.
