Amazon selling Hindu gods on doormats: #BoycottAmazon trending

Amazon got itself into trouble after Islamic themed doormats were on sale online.

Angry Indians took to the social platform with tweets and Facebook posts asking Amazon to stop abusing Hindu deities and remove the products from the sale immediately.

Amazon seems to have run into stormy waters on Saturday after the online e-commerce website was seen selling door mats with Hindu gods printed on them. Matters got worse after Islamic themed doormats were also spotted online. People outraged soon, after which #BoycottAmazon started trending online on social media websites.

Angry Indians took to the social platform with tweets and Facebook posts asking Amazon to stop abusing Hindu deities and remove the products from the sale immediately.

Amazon was also seen in trouble way back in 2014 when the website was spotted selling women’s leggings which carried images of Hindu gods.

Amazon has not yet publicly responded or commented on this topic. As for now, Amazon has removes the products from its listing. However, Amazon has responded to many such comments on its social websites, apologizing for hurting their religious sentiments.
