Pokemon Go hits $200mn in global revenue
The game is being played on an average of 30 minutes per day in the US on iOS.
The phenomenon that is Pokemon Go just keeps on going.
The online mobile game that premiered on July 5 has earned more than $200 million in worldwide net revenue on the App Store and Google Play within its first month of availability.
According to Sensor Towers, the game has doubled the first month revenue of Clash Royale, and four times as much as Candy Crush Soda Sags made during first month of availability. The reports produced by Sensor Towers also revealed that the game revenues spiked in the mid-July, after its launch in Japan.
“The game is being played on an average of 30 minutes per day in the US on iOS, which is more than Facebook’s average of 22 minutes per day,” said Randy Nelson, mobile insights head of the Sensor Towers.
