A list of Motorola devices set to receive Android Nougat update
The company officially published a post, thereby confirming that 15 of its smartphones are eligible for the upgrade.
The latest version of Android – Nougat 7.0 was announced back in October, 2016. While the upgrade doesn’t necessarily offer any dramatic visual overhaul, there are a lot of major improvements and refinements over Marshmallow that can be noted. Naturally, most Android users are anticipating its arrival on their smartphones ever since.
Here is a list of Motorola devices set to receive the Android Nougat update in the coming days:
PC-Tablet reports that Moto Z and Moto Z Force users in US started getting the Android Nougat update back in November. However, it now appears that the global roll-out has finally begun.
Phone Arena revealed that Bluetooth SIG recently announced that the Motorola DROID Turbo 2 has been certified to use the Android 7.0 OS.
Meanwhile, a recent report by GSMarena suggests that the Moto X Play will directly be receiving an Android Nougat 7.1 update instead of 7.0. The report states that the device was spotted on GFXbench and the company is highly expected to roll out the update soon. Meanwhile, Moto Z, Moto Z DROID, Moto Z DROID Force and Moto G (4th Gen) have already received the Android 7.0 update.
Unfortunately, a few devices namely the Moto G3 and Moto E3 may not be able to receive a Nougat update at all as per a report by Mobilenapps.
The company also officially published a post, thereby confirming that 15 of its smartphones are eligible for the upgrade.
