Thirty per cent of porn website visitors from India are women: Report
Well known adult content website PornHub in a report stated that about 30 per cent of website visitors are women
Adult content website, PornHub on Monday in its year-in-review report has revealed that about 30 per cent of the visitors from India were female. In the report, the website has also ranked India on the 4th for being one of the biggest consumers of porn among countries worldwide.
However, interestingly PornHub had ranked India 4th.
In a report, PornHub has stated, “The majority of searches (top, relative, and gaining) include ‘Indian’. One top term to make it to the top ten search list was ‘Indian aunty with young’, hurtling up to the top by 81 spots.”
The website also revealed that the term ‘Lesbian’ dominated women’s top searches, while the top searched term by men, according to the report was ‘MILF’.
As per the report, majority of PornHub’s visitors were millennials.
India had banned access to atleast 857 websites it considers pornographic in a bid to “protect social decency”.
In July 2015, a bench headed by Chief Justice H L Datta dismissed a plea seeking to ban pornography, questioning if such a ban would be an infringement to ones freedom.
The government was forced to reverse course following widespread outrage.
