Mumbai: Social media giant Facebook has been making numerous changes to its interface and constantly adding features to uplift user experience.

Recent reports suggested that the networking website is testing a new feature for both iOS and Android, dubbed ‘discover’, to find relevant public and private groups, and also check how many friends are a part of a group.

While you must be getting numerous requests to join groups throughout the day on Facebook, not all of them might be tailor-made for you. The new feature, which has been currently made available to a few users, encourages them to find and join groups based on their interests and preferences.

As per recent reports on usage of the discovery feature, the group feature will be divided into approximately 25 categories, each one with a different theme. Tapping on any one of them will display groups under the selected theme.

There is still an air of mystification regarding the algorithm used by this feature to display preferable groups, but it constantly gives suggestions of themed groups tailored for you.

According to Mashable, Facebook p,ans to roll out the feature to new users soon and have asked users not to worry if they haven’t yet received the update.

The company said earlier that more than one billion users participated in groups as of January but experts pointed out that the company can do a much better job.
