Apple rolls out iOS 10 beta 5 version for developers & users
The new version is available as an over-the-air download for users who installed the initial four betas.
Apple has released the new beta versions for its upcoming operating system, iOS 10 for both developers, as well as the users. The company has made several changes to the OS ahead of its launch this year.
The new version is available as an over-the-air download for users who installed the initial four betas. It features a new lock screen sound, tweaks to the Control Center and widgets screen, and more.
There will be a new tone when locking the iPhone that sounds like a door closing. Also, the company plans to reprocess facial recognition data in beta 5.
The update fixes the smart battery case issue, which causes lag in iPhone 6 and 6s. The output icon is no longer represented by headphones and instead resembles a triangle with sound waves.
The ‘Home’ sections has been removed from the settings app, but it still remains on the iPad. The new widgets panel now displays the date on all devices when swiped to the right.
