Facebook users in the USA will now have the option to look up movie timings, local theatres and the selection of movies they are offering on the new 'Movies' section, as the social media giant has collaborated with Fandango's and Atom Tickets' booking services, thereby making movie plans more feasible.

The feature, which is currently available for users in the United States, draws upon Facebook's earlier update, Facebook Pages, which doubled as a ticket booking page made possible through a partnership with Fandango.

The interface for those movie ticket sales from Facebook Pages is thus along the lines of the app's "Movies" section currently, reports TechCrunch.

After the introduction of this new section, Facebook users no longer need to visit a movie's Facebook Page to start purchasing tickets, but can rather turn to the app for assistance.

The new update is currently in its pilot phase and has been rolled out for a section of the USA. However, it is uncertain as to when the feature will be accessible for the larger market.
