Meizu slams Xiaomi Mi MIX
The battle of the screen to body ration seems to be getting bigger
The recent launch of the Xiaomi Mi MIX has sent the smartphone space into a flurry. With its stunning 6.4-inch screen, the display covers over 90 percent of the front body, as claimed by Xiaomi. The phone, upon its launch, was sold out in just a matter of ten seconds. As expected, other phone manufacturers also appear to be working on similar designs to the Mi MIX.
Meizu, a Chinese consumer electronics manufacturing company, in leaks has come up with a new device which could possibly take the fight up with the Mi MIX on the screen to body ratio. The manufacturer has the device slated to be released on December 24.
If this is true, then immediately there is a problem. Where is the front camera?
However, due to lesser known features about this device, this design may not be the final render of how the finished product would be. Hence all the information of the pictures and of the device should be taken with a pinch of salt. Everything is not speculative but there is still a considerable amount of information left to be revealed.
The Mi MIX has the selfie camera situated on the lower chin of the front face while the device from Meizu hasn’t got any if we look at the photos. Also encompassed is the fingerprint scanner embedded in the glass (Qualcomm’s ultrasonic scanner). These are features that are known. Rest features will be revealed at launch.
