Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe to get Qualcomm's Snapdragon 821
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 will not only have a faster clock speed but it will also be more efficient than its predecessor.
Mumbai: Asus will be the first ones to utilise Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 821, as the company recently announced that its flagship Zenfone 3 Deluxe will be getting the chip upgrade soon.
The development that the Zenfone 3 Deluxe will be the first phone to get the 2.4GHz processor was made at an event yesterday. Other features are will remain similar to the previous version.
However, the new chip will definitely bring large-scale improvements to computing performance and augment VR integration, including a 10 per cent performance bump over the Snapdragon 820.
It will not only have a faster clock speed but it will also be more efficient than its predecessor, with smoother application performance and increased power saving capability.
Asus, however, plans to sell two variants of the smartphone—one with Snapdragon 820 and another with 821. Reports indicate that the new upgraded flagship will be available with Snapdragon 821 SoC, 6GB RAM, and 256GB UFS 2.0 storage, which is speculated to be priced at above Rs 50,000.
The other two variants are expected to provide either 4GB RAM with 32GB storage and 6GB RAM with 128GB internal storage capacity.
