Facebook reportedly fired Oculus founder for being pro-Trump
Luckey secretly made a USD 10,000 to an anti-Hillary Clinton group which led to his secret departure.
Oculus founder Palmer Luckey was reportedly fired by Facebook for supporting Donald Trump, The Wall Street Journal reported.
It was learned during the 2016 presidential election that Luckey secretly made a USD 10,000 to an anti-Hillary Clinton group which led to his secret departure from the social networking giant. He was also reportedly pressured into voicing support for libertarian candidate Gary Johnson.
However, the latest report indicates that he was placed on leave and then fired for supporting Donald Trump.
Meanwhile, Facebook maintains that Luckey's departure was not due to his political views or his donation to the group. The company also stresses that Luckey was not pressured into saying anything which was not factual.
