Google's new app helps you find your alter ego
The app prompts you to take a selfie and then shows the closest matches, according to Google.
If you are up for a good laugh, there might be an app for you. The latest trend on the web is downloading the Google Arts and Culture app to find out what painting you look like.
Using the app is easy, just download it, scroll down to the ‘Is your portrait in a museum?’ section, and tap on ‘Get Started.’ The app prompts you to take a selfie and then shows the closest matches, according to Google.
The app uses computer-vision to determine the key features of user’s face. It then compares the face to thousands of pieces of art to find similar looking paintings. However, not every match is perfect, but some are pretty amusing.
The app has become popular among the celebrities too. Pete Wentz from Fall Out Boy and actress Felicia Day posted their results on Twitter. In fact, if you search for #googleartsandculture on Instagram or Twitter, you will find a lot of reactions from users across the globe.
