A new startup has come up with an affordable solution to the surge in demand for co-working spaces, which offer flexible working environments.

Rents have always been a problem with commercial spaces, forcing people to stay isolated at home.

Now, a new startup called Codi has come up with an affordable solution that turns apartments and houses into temporary, affordable co-working spaces during the day.

Codi is soon launching the app in the Bay Area, Fast Company reported.

People who have day jobs can apply to be hosts. Applications are scrutinised based on certain standards such as availability of Wi-Fi, power outlets, access to a clean restroom, and more.

A host can make up to a hundred dollars per month.
