Prized for their crystalline beauty, the strongest element on earth, diamonds are one of the most expensive rocks out there. Extracting the expensive carbon-based element from its ore, cutting and then polishing it are a great challenge and needs to be handled by masters in the trade. Once cut and polished, the priceless stones are something that gives an ornament a new meaning. However, diamonds are only found in ores and have to be mined out, and the entire process is pretty tedious and expensive—from mining to showroom.
