Leading PC and tablets player Lenovo on Wednesday announced the launch of its dedicated brand for gaming 'Legion' in India in two variants including Lenovo Legion Y520 at Rs 92,490 and Lenovo Legion Y720 at Rs 149,990.
Designed for casual and performance gamers who are on-the-go, the new gaming brand is the outcome of significant time spent building and listening to a global community of gamers to better understand what they value most.
The offered range will allow greater gaming experience in every sense as both the laptops are equipped with up to 7th Gen Intel® Core i7 CPU and the latest NVIDIA discrete graphics cards to deliver that extra edge on performance.
"We are extremely excited to bring the Legion brand to our fast-growing community of Indian gamers. Gaming continues to be our strategic focus area and the new brand further enhances the Y series portfolio in India. The new Lenovo Legion laptops address every gamer's demand for a superior and immersive experience with VR and outstanding audio capabilities," said Marketing Director Lenovo India, Bhaskar Choudhuri.
"We are happy to partner with Lenovo to exclusively launch its new gaming sub-brand, Legion, in India and are certain that these state-of-the-art gaming laptops will find great appeal with our customers who are not just gaming enthusiasts but also mainstream gamers," said Director - Electronic Devices, Hari Kumar.
Designed for portability seekers, the Legion Y520 has an aluminum-brushed body and weighs less than 2.5 kgs. The device allows gamers to custom tune audio with the 2 x 2W Harman speakers and Dolby Audio Premium for an outstanding audio quality even without headphones.
On the other hand, the Legion Y720 is built from the ground up in an all-metal cover, the Legion Y720 laptop is the world's first Dolby Atmos Windows based PC bringing an enhanced sense of depth and detail to the overall gaming experience.
It makes the game's world come alive with immersive sound providing amazing precision and realism. With NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics, the laptop is the India's first Oculus certified VR-ready machine.
Both the models support Lenovo Nerve Sense for effortless customization where the gamers can easily customize settings such as audio, active keys, cooling, and network priority. Lenovo Nerve Sense allows them to record highlights for replaying or uploading to streaming sites.
The devices have been designed with optimized thermal engineering to combat heat even during the most resource-intensive gaming session. The engineered fans and vents are strategically located close to the graphics card and processors to keep hot air moving while the rear-placed thermal vents remove that heat. The extreme cooling shortcut within Lenovo Nerve Sense can be used for gaming firefights that require an additional push of cooling.
