Father's Day: Tech firms release heart-warming messages, apps

We call ‘him’ by many names, from the old man of the house to the protector of the family. Most of you have figured out the ‘person’ in the picture is none other than your beloved fathers, and on this occasion of the Father’s Day, copious tech firms have come up with different apps and videos to make father’s feel special on this day.
A few days earlier, Google released a new video, titled ‘The Hero - A Bollywood Story’ which will not only melt your heart but also show you how parents keep their dreams buried just to see their kids succeed.
Even Google’s Doodle for today, which shows two pairs of shoes—one small and another big pair—to celebrate the spirit Father’s Day.
Moving on, another video by Myntra, an online portal for clothes also posted a wonderful video, showing how a child aspires to fit into his/her father’s shows.
Not far behind the race is LG, releasing a unique ‘Father’s Day’ video to support children who are not privileged enough to have a dad. The video shows solidarity toward single mothers who are burning the candles at both ends to keep their kids happy.
Last but not the least, there are numerous apps doing rounds on apps stores, like the ‘Baap Bot’ by Indian virtual reality app Haptik. The ‘Baap Bot’ is a humorous AI bot messenger application which imitates ‘Indian Stereotypical dads’.
A post on the company’s page said: “It’s Father’s Day on the 19th of June, and as a tribute to Indian Dads all across the globe we created The Baap: Essentially A Bot Wired Up Like every neighbourhood Papa”
Through this app, the company hopes to bring back fond memories from the past and to put a smile on both you and your father’s face.
