Mumbai: In a rather miraculous episode, a mother was able to locate and rescue her kidnapped daughter with the help of Apple iOS’s “Find my iPhone” feature.

According to media reports, the woman from Pennsylvania used Apple’s intuitive feature to locate, and track down her kidnapped daughter who was taken more than 150 miles away from home.

The same reports pointed out that the victim’s mother said that her daughter had been messaging her continuously asking for help. The mother was quick to act in the situation and utilised the feature along with iCloud to track down her daughter’s handset.

As the incident unfolded, it was discovered that the kidnapper was none other than the victim’s boyfriend—a man named Joseph Boller. Boller has been arrested and has to pay a hefty amount for his release.

For users who are not acquainted with this feature, users who have lost their iPhone can use “Find my iphone” to track down the exact location of the device and retrieve it, if possible.
