It seems that WhatsApp is working really hard and taking the necessary steps to stop fake news from spreading on its platform. A new report suggests that in order to limit the spreading of fake news, Whatsapp is working on a new feature dubbed as "forwarded messages."
According to Wabetainfo, Whatsappen has revealed that WhatsApp is testing a new notification system that will alarm WhatsApp users when they are at risk forwarding spam messages have just popped up online from various sources. "Whenever the system detects a message is forwarded a lot of times, it will start informing the WhatsApp user that the message could be spam."
Users should note that the warning will only notify them if the message is forwarded more than 25 times. Furthermore, if you really need to deliver a message to more than 25 contacts, there is a feature dubbed as Broadcast List, allowing you to send a message to multiple people.
