Facebook Live – a live streaming video channel, was launched back in 2010 with the purpose of keeping the users updated with what is happening on the site. Since then, this service has been utilized to feature popular personality interviews and discussions. This service gained tremendous fame as users found it easier to feel a closer connection with the celebrities they love.
More than five years down the line; this service hasn't exactly received any prominent update. However, just recently Facebook announced a few changes with regards to its broadcasting platform. The company said that all users will be able to broadcast for as long as four hours per session thereby, doubling the length they could stream without compromising on the VOD archives.
Moreover, Facebook is also providing its users with the option of hiding viewer comments and reactions by simply swiping right. One will now be able to enjoy a distraction-free broadcast. Apart from that, iOS users will also be able to go live in full screen.
These features will be rolled out to select users for now. As far as general users are concerned, the coming weeks will have something exciting in store for you.
