The Chinese regulator has certified a Xiaomi smartphone that goes by the model label M1803E6E.
Xiaomi has been in the rumour mill for a long time now. While Mi 6X aka Mi A2 is set for April 25 launch in China, an unknown Xiaomi smartphone was spotted on TENAA's website. The Chinese regulator has certified a Xiaomi smartphone that goes by the model label M1803E6E, as per a report by Gizchina. The unnamed device appears to be the next generation Redmi phone.
As per the listing on TENAA, this unknown Xiaomi device could boast a 5.99-inch display with a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels along with the trendy 18:9 aspect ratio. The website has not revealed the name of the chipset. The smartphone could pack an octa-core CPU clocked at up to 2.0GHz, paired with 2GB/3GB/4GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB/64GB of storage variants. The device might be available in nine colours — White, Silver, Gray, Black, Gold, Rose Gold, Blue, Red, and Pink, as per the listing.
On the photography front, the Xiaomi phone could flaunt a dual rear camera setup similar to the Redmi Note 5. Furthermore, the listing suggests that the phone could sport three cameras, however, the TENAA filing only quoted a 12MP sensor and doesn't reveal the secondary camera sensor.
The phone will draw its power from a 3000mAh battery. Sensors onboard include gravity sensor, distance sensor, light sensor and fingerprint recognition sensor. The smartphone is expected to run the latest Android 8.1 Oreo. Additionally, the Chinese company has not yet dropped any hint related to a new Redmi phone but it can't be that far away.
